The issues indicated in the title concern the objectives and tasks of Polish language education related to the training of reading and text-forming skills. An important role in this process is played by the imagination described in the literature as “exceptionally human”, combined with subjectivity, creative thinking, empathy, transgression, autonomy, memory and many other dispositions that influence the personality of the student, including his or her cognitive, emotional, social, etc. Can “the action of imagination”, “the movement of thoughts, emotions and experiences” be found in the works of students inspired by school reading?
